Weird Silence

I was trying to find information (membership, leadership etc) on history revisionist political groups in Japan for my professors. Specifically, I was trying to look up the following groups:

超党派議員連盟・歴史教科書問題を考える会
みんなで靖国神社に参拝する会
自民党歴史検討委員会
日本の前途と歴史教育を考える議員の会

There is almost no (official) information about them except some personal blogs. All I could find was this list: Ultra-Hawkish Ministers of Abe Cabinet. Weird weird weird. Is it too much to expect them to host a website?

However, I found a funny thing too. Check out Abe Products that the Liberal Democratic Party sells online. (It says “All the goods have a simple design, for use both in the home and at the office. (どれもご家庭や職場でご利用いただけるよう、シンプルなデザインとなっています)” haha!) I wondered if G.W.Bush has the same online store. Of course he does: The George W. Bush Online Store. I have to admit Abe’s products have a cute Japanese element to it.

  1. This morning, I found another Abe’s site:
    http://www.chenowith.k12.or.us/tech/cgcc/projects/bright/lincoln01.htm
Reachable from home and office, probably.

  2. There is something oddly attractive about that coffee cup.

  3. Try Higashinakano Shudo, Professor of Intellectual History, Asia University, Tokyo.
